Born in 1963. Associate Professor of Shanghai Conservatory of Music; Director of the Department of Modern Instrumental Music faculty; Master Diploma Tutor; Executive director of the China Accordion Association; Vice Chairman of Shanghai Accordion Association.

Graduated from the Music Department of the Jilin College of Arts, major in Piano and Accordion in 1986.
From 1990 to 2001, at the Russian Far East National College, Music Department, studied Master Course of Bayan accordion studies and Teaching Theory Course, awarded Master’s Degree of Art Education.

In 1990, awarded Second Prize of the first "Zhonghua Cup" National Accordion Competition in China; In 1994, awarded the Silver Prize of the first “China Accordion Festival”.

In 1999, awarded the First Prize of the “Sixth International Accordion Festival of China” in Beijing, Junior Duo Group.

In 2001, has been honorary titled “Meritorious Artist” by the Musicians Association of Far East of Russia and awarded the Third Prize of the first “New York International Video Opening Competition” in America.

He has been awarded prizes and honored titles by Chinese Government, such as Third Prize of He Luting Fund of Shanghai Conservatory in 2004.

“Presidential Prize” of the High School of Shanghai Conservatory in 2005; Awarded “Outstanding Teaching Award of Shanghai” in 2006.

In 2019, he presided over the "Chinese and Foreign Classic Accordion Works Tour" project. Accordion professor Xu Dawei’s solo version "Playing My Beloved Tu-Pipa (traditional Chinese musical instrument as vertical violin)" is from Lv Qiming, composer who once studied in Shanghai Conservatory, made the accordion, a Western instrument, speak Chinese language.

In the Shanghai Conservatory of Music's "Chinese and Foreign Classic Accordion Works Tour" project his works, from accordion solo to accordion ensemble, accordion and folk music, and accordion tango chamber music, reproduce the strong expressiveness and fusion power of the accordion.
